Dominic Breazeale (15-0, 13 KOs) scored a third-round knockout victory over Yasmany Consuegra (17-1, 14 KOs) on the June 6th edition of PBC on NBC at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

The scheduled eight-round Heavyweight fight was the co-main event of an afternoon Welterweight fight between Robert Guerrero and Aron Martinez.

In Round 1, Breazeale tried to find his range, but instead received quick overhand rights from Consuegra, who looked to give Breazeale a tough fight.

Consuegra continued scoring points and even won most of Round 2, but was floored before the round ended.

“I’m always looking for good shots,” said Breazeale, who followed the knockdown with another one in Round 3 with a right uppercut.

Consuegra was still wobbly as he got back to his feet, but was floored again. The third knockdown forced referee Wayne Hedgepeth to stop the fight.

“It’s always a little different fighting in the afternoon,” said Breazeale, whose fight began promptly at 12:00pm PT.

“I’m used to fighting at night, but I gave the fans a big show and got the win,” said Breazeale.

Breazeale, a native of Glendale, California, continues his undefeated streak and says he wants to be back soon.

“I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I’d love to back in the ring as soon as possible,” Breazeale concluded.
