The Hebrew Hammer, Cletus Seldin, couldn’t quite finishing nailing Bayan Jargal Friday night.

After three rounds in which Seldin (13-0, 1 NC, 10 KOs) pounded away at Jargal with both hands, the ring doctor stopped the fight.

Jargal (17-5-3, 1 NC, 10 KOs suffered severe swelling in his right eye after a headbutt in the second round, and was deemed unfit to continue.

It’s probably a good thing for Jargal, as Seldin spent the entire fight working him over to the head and body. Seldin came out aggressive as usual, bouncing the reeling Jargal all over the ring in the first round.

He kept the pressure on throughout the fight, with a rawness that made Ruslan Provodnikov look like Guillermo Rigondeaux.

It was more of the same in the second, with Jargal trying to get into the fight by finally letting his hands go. After being examined by the ring doctor at the start of the third round, Jargal brought the urgency.

He came out firing, but once again took too many punches, ending up on the wrong side of the round.

The result was a no contest, but “The Hebrew Hammer” made a solid showing of himself. RBRBoxing had it 3-0 Seldin at the time of the stoppage.
