Ryan Garcia has been fueling the hype train in his most recent interviews, leading people to believe that his next big fight will be against Manny Pacquiao and not versus Gervonta Davis.
As we reported yesterday via Instagram, sources stated that a Pacquiao and Garcia fight was potentially up next for both men.
In a recent interview with Fight Hype, Garcia also stated that a huge fight announcement could come as early as next week–although he didn’t go as far as mentioning Pacquiao by name.
But, as icing on the cake, a few hours after we posted the graphic and news on Instagram, Garcia reposted the graphic on his Instagram Story.
A passing of the torch fight? Perhaps. But, Pacquiao could potentially beat the breaks off the young man too. Either way, it’s an intriguing matchup considering they’re currently two weight classes away from each other at the moment.
Pacquiao currently holds a title at 147 pounds, while Garcia holds an interim title at 135. If the fight does happen, a meeting at 140 pounds would make sense.

Shortly after this post went live, Ryan Garcia took to Instagram to announce that his dream has become a reality and that he’ll be fighting Manny Pacquiao.
While no official press release has come down the pipeline from Golden Boy, Garcia is showing his promotional power by taking announcements and updates into his own hands.
