On Saturday, October 27, 2018, live on HBO in the US and Sky Sports in the UK, Daniel Jacobs narrowly defeated Sergiy Derevyanchenko via 12-round split decision at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York.

It was a back-and-forth fight between Jacobs and Derevyanchenko which ended with scores of 115-112 (twice) for Jacobs and 114-113 for Derevyanchenko.

Also on the televised card was Alberto Machado taking on Yuandale Evans and Heather Hardy taking on Shelly Vincent.

Daniel Jacobs vs. Sergiy Derevyanchenko 

Daniel Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) hands Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-1, 10 KOs) his first professional defeat by split decision to claim the vacant IBF Middleweight title.

The scorecards were 114-113 for Derevyanchenko, while the other two were 115-112 for Jacobs.

Alberto Machado vs. Yuandale Evans

Alberto Machado (21-0, 17 KOs) absolutely destroyed Yuandale Evans (20-2, 14 KOs) by knockout in the very first round to retain his WBA Super Featherweight title.

It was an absolute dominant showing as Machado dropped Evans three times in the first as the referee called off the fight.

Heather Hardy vs. Shelly Vincent

Heather Hardy (22-0, 4 KOs) goes on to claim the vacant WBO Featherweight title by outpointing Shelly Vincent (23-2, 1 KO) in an exciting title fight.

The scores were 99-91 and two scores of 97-93 all in favor of Hardy.

Patrick Day vs. Elvin Ayala

Patrick Day (16-2-1, 7 KOs) keeps his WBC Continental Americas Super Welterweight title as he dominated and out pointed Elvin Ayala (29-11-1, 13 KOs) by unanimous decision. The scorecards were 99-91 and two scores of 100-90.

Radzhab Butaev vs. Azael Cosio

Radzhab Butaev (10-0, 8 KOs) batters and stops Azael Cosio (21-8-2, 18 KOs) as Casio was unable to continue at the end of round three. Butaev was ahead 30-27 on all three scorecards prior to the stoppage.

David Oliver Joyce vs. Jorge Rojas Zacazontetl

David Joyce remains perfect at 9-0, 7 KOs as he defeats Jorge Rojas Zacazonteti (4-5-1, 2 KOs) by unanimous decision as two judges scored it 58-53 and the last judge scoring it 58-54.

Bakhodir Jalolov vs. Tyrell Wright

Bakhodir Jakolov (2-0, 2 KOs) defeats Tyrell Wright (9-3-2, 6 KOs) by stoppage at the end of the fourth as Wright’s corner stops the fight.

Steven Donnelly vs. Ray Cervera

Steven Donnelly defeats Ray Cervera by four-round unanimous decision. Scores were 40-33 three times for Donnelly.

Reshat Mati vs. Juan Carlos Sepulveda

Crowd favorite Reshat Mati (2-0, 1 KO) took care of business as he defeated Juan Carlos Sepulveda (0-2-1) by unanimous decision.

All three judges scored the bout 40-35 for Mati. He has quite the following early in his career and showed why tonight.
