Rising unbeaten prospects Ja’Rico O’Quinn and Desmond Jarmon bolster a deep lineup of Midwest fighters Friday in Michigan
DETROIT (February 19, 2018) – The DeCarlo’s Banquest & Convention Center in Warren, Michigan hosts an excellent night of professional boxing this Friday, February 23 with action starting at 8:00 PM. Second 2 None Promotions’ first fight card of 2018, The Best of Tomorrow 3: The War in Warren, tentatively features 10 exciting matchups put together by matchmaker Aaron Rodriguez.
In the card’s co-main events, fan-friendly Detroit native Ja’Rico O’Quinn (7-0-1, 5 KOs) faces another highly-experienced opponent in Kenya’s Nick Otieno (31-12, 13 KOs), while Dearborn’s Gheith Karim guns for his third career victory.
O’Quinn is a bantamweight currently signed to the flourishing roster of Dmitriy Salita, and a former number-one ranked national amateur champion. He electrified hometown fans with his mix of speed, slickness and power on multiple cards in 2017 but alluded to a loftier set of goals for 2018 stating, “I’m looking to make my TV debut this year.”
“From there, the sky is the limit. When I get on TV, I’m going to look so good I’ll become an attraction that people want to see again and again.”
Another noteworthy Midwest-based promoter also has a young, promising talent on display Friday; About Billions Promotions’ undefeated featherweight Desmond Jarmon (4-0, 3 KOs) returns to action after a successful, yet brief, hometown victory in Cincinnati just a few weeks ago. Jarmon is looking to stay sharp before hopefully fighting on the undercard of the recently announced Adrien Broner versus Omar Figueroa, Jr. card that airs on Showtime Boxing Saturday, April 21.
The card is currently scheduled for 10 fights, but as usual, the lineup is subject to change. Other intriguing prospects scheduled to be in action include Leon Lawson III, Isiah Jones, Curtis Head, Joseph Bonas, Anthony Flagg and many more.
Tickets are available now at www.s2nboxing.com or by calling 248-599-1095. Prices are $35 for general admission, $65 for VIP and $100 for ringside. A ringside table package, seating 10 people, is also available for $750 and includes a bottle of champagne.
