According to TMZ Sports, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is trying to land a potential Middleweight clash between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez for September at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

Tom Loeffler, Managing Director of K2 Promotions who represents Golovkin, says one of the possible venues is Dallas, but that the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and Madison Square Garden in NYC are also in the running.

“Jerry Jones has watched G’s last few fights and he expressed a big interest in having the fight in Dallas at his stadium,” said Loeffler via TMZ.

If Canelo gets by Amir Khan on May 7 and Golovkin can defeat Dominic Wade in April, a potential fight is being discussed for September 17.

“You hear 70,000 people screaming, the huge video board… it’s an amazing venue. And GGG understands the popularity of the Cowboys, the influence they have in the U.S. and around the world,” said Loeffler.

AT&T Stadium would be an exciting venue to host a mega matchup like Canelo versus Golovkin, but whether or not a fight agreement gets done is a whole other story.
