Jessie Magdaleno (22-0, 16 KOs) ended matters early in the February 20, 2016 edition of UniMas’ Solo Boxeo with a seventh-round knockout of Rey Perez (20-7, 5 KOs) at the Celebrity Theater in Pheonix Arizona.
Magdaleno, a 24-year-old native of Las Vegas, Nevada, worked the body early in Rounds 1 and 2 under the instruction of his trainer, Joel Diaz.
Then, in Round 4, Magdaleno landed a powerful left hook to the body, immediately dropping Perez.
Perez, a 25-year-old native of the Philippines, was unable to make the 10-count.
