Jorge “Maromerito” Paez Jr. will headline the latest edition of “SOLO BOXEO TECATE” on Unimas (11:00 pm East/Pacific) Feb. 21 from the Municipal Auditorium in Ocozocoautla, Chiapas, Mexico.
Super welterweight Paez (37-5-2, 22 KOs) of Mexicali, Mexico will face Ronald Montes (16-1, 14 KOs) of Colombia in the 10-round main event.
Paez has won 10 of his last 11 bouts, five of them by knockout. Last August, Paez landed a controversial draw against Aaron Herrera, and in March, Paez lost to former world champion Vivian Harris by a narrow decision.
“I am anxious to get into the ring after two disappointing fights last year. I know I can fight better than I did against Harris, and I had dominated Herrera for most of that fight,”said Paez.
Mexican legend Jorge Arce has previoulsy appeared on UniMas “Solo Boxeo Tecate”.
