ESPN‘s Dan Rafael confirmed via Twitter that Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40 KOs) vs. Mike Alvarado (34-2, 23 KOs) is a done deal for May 17, 2014 at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.
Marquez and Alvarado are both coming off tough, yet different types of loses.
After a close-decision loss in 2013, Marquez had been seeking a rematch with Timothy Bradley, but with the WBO champion locked in to fight Manny Pacquiao in April, the Mexican legend has opted to face Alvarado.
Who will be able to bounce back with a big win?
