Although boxing fans would like to think that the sport is like Burger King–you know, that they can have it their way–Keith Thurman does not agree.
Errol Spence and many die-hard aficionados believe that the Welterweight unification clash between the Texas-man known as “The Truth” should happen in 2018 against Florida’s “One Time.”
But Thurman, in a recent chat with Yahoo’s Kevin Iole, has stated that he isn’t in any rush to face the man that he calls the No. 2 Welterweight in the world.
Pissing fans off even more, Thurman also stated he may not even face a top 10 Welterweight in his return–contrary to many rumors linking Jessie Vargas as Thurman’s comeback opponent.
Do you think Thurman will ever face Spence? Should he wait until 2019 or 2020?
