Saturday, March 7, 2015, Keith Thurman (21-0, 24 KOs) will take on Robert Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The scheduled 12-round Welterweight fight will headline the very first installment of Al Haymon‘s Premier Boxing Champions and marks boxing’s return to NBC after 30 years.
Thurman, 26, is a native of Clearwater, Florida with speed and power in both hands and is just coming off a win over Leonard Bundu in December.
Guerrero, 31, of Gilroy, California is a battle-tested southpaw who has won world titles in 3 divisions and is coming off an exciting slugfest against Yoshihiro Kamegai.
The bout promises to be exciting as it will be a clash of two top-ten Welterweights for a version of the WBA strap held by Floyd Mayweather.
In the co-main event, Adrien Broner (29-1, 22 KOs) will take on John Molina Jr. (27-5, 22 KOs) in a 12-round 140-pound fight.
