It’s official! James Kirkland will take on Gabriel Rosado on November 8, 2014. The fight will be part of the Bernard Hopkins vs. Sergey Kovalev fight card which will be held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.
Kirkland will be entering the ring for the first time since scoring a thrilling KO over formerly undefeated “Jersey Boy,” Glen Tapia in 2013.
Rosado is riding high after knocking out well-known tough guy, Bryan Vera, in highlight reel fashion.
That knockout though, was not in a regular boxing match. It was part of the BKB–Big Knockout Boxing–and many people are wondering if Rosado can duplicate his BKB success in boxing.
According to Ring TV, the fight will be held at catch weight of 156 or 157 pounds.
