Los Angeles (Feb. 12) – Oscar De La Hoya, Founder and President of Golden Boy Promotions, unveiled details for the new LA FIGHT CLUB monthly boxing series that will take place in downtown Los Angeles during a press conference at The Belasco Theater yesterday, Feb. 11. LA FIGHT CLUB will be featuredas part of the popular, fan-favorite Golden Boy Live! serieson FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes and is set to premiere on Friday, March 6.
The press conference hosted by Oscar De La Hoya, was attended by Joseph “Jo Jo” Diaz Jr. (14-0, 9 KOs) who is headlining the March 6 event against Mexican brawler Geovanny “Lloviznas” Delgado (15-2, 9 KOs) in a 10-round super bantamweight bout.
Also in attendance to discuss their upcoming bouts at LA FIGHT CLUB were super featherweight knockout artist Christian “Chimpa” Gonzalez (8-0, 8 KOs) who will be featured in the six-round co-main event. Los Angeles natives Santiago “El Lobito” Guevara (8-0, 3 KOs) and Carlos “The Solution” Morales (6-1-3, 3 KOs) were on-site to discuss their upcoming super featherweight six-round televised opening bout. Irish middleweight prospect Jason Quigley (3-0, 3 KOs) was on-hand to talk about his four-round middleweight fight against Lanny Dardar (2-2-2, 1 KOs) of Houma, Louisiana.
Other fighters featured in separate non-televised undercard fights that participated in the press conference included Roy Tapia (10-0-1, 5 KOs), Cesar “The Great” Quiñonez (1-0, 1 KO), Jesus Delgado (3-0-1, 1 KO) and Emilio Sanchez (6-0, 5 KOs).
