In the co-main event on the Tuesday, April 25 edition of PBC’s Toe-to-Tuesday live on FS1, Levan “The Wolf” Ghvamichava (18-3-1, 13 KOs) worked his way to a stout, unanimous-division win over Oscar Molina (13-2, 10 KOs).
The Jr. Middleweight contest that was scheduled for 10 rounds showed Ghvamichava’s work rate be the difference throughout the fight. Molina, the Southern California born bred fighter, tried as much as he could to establish his jab in the early rounds and keep The Wolf from hunting with his attack.
In the second half of the fight, Molina gathered some encouragement with well placed hard left hooks that would catch Ghvamichava up top.
Those hooks were too far and in between of Ghvamichava’s attack for the rest of the fight as his brute strength turned out to be too much for the former Mexican Olympian.
When the scores were announced, all three judges had given Ghvamichava the unanimous-decision victory with scores of 98-92, 98-92, 97-93.
