On Friday, March 10, 2017, Romero Duno (13-1, 12 KOs) scored an upset knockout victory against Christian Gonzalez (16-1, 14 KOs) for the WBC Youth Intercontinental lightweight title at the Belasco Theater in Downtown, Los Angeles.
The scheduled eight-rounder headlined a three-fight telecast that was televised on Estrella TV.
Gonzalez, 21, of Buena Park, California, pushed forward recklessly before being dropped two times en route to the stoppage. Both knockdowns were caused by short, overhand rights.
Also on the card were Alexis Rocha and Niko Valdes, both of whom scored victories.

Cabrera won via TKO at 2:35 of Round 3.
Franicsco Esparza vs. Emmanuel Castro, 6 rounds, Featherweights
Esparza scored a tough UD win against Castro. Esparza won with scores of 59-55, 60-54 and 60-54.
