Live Boxing Results: Erislandy Lara vs. Yuri Foreman

On Friday, January 13, 2017, Erislandy Lara (23-2-2, 13 KOs) returned to the ring against Yuri Foreman (24-2, 10 KOs) to defend his WBA Super Welterweight title at the Hialeah Park Racing & Casino in Hialeah, Florida.

The fight was televised on Spike TV in the U.S.

In the co-main event, Anthony Dirrell took on Norbert Nemesapati in a Super Middleweight fight. Also on the card was Juan Carlos Payano, who returned to the ring after his first career defeat against Rau’shee Warren.

Erislandy Lara vs. Yuri Foreman, 12 rounds, for Lara’s WBA Super Welterweight title

Lara dopped Foreman in Round 3 before stopping him at 1:47 of Round 4.

Lara made quick work for Foreman and defended his WBA title for the fifth time.

Anthony Dirrell vs. Norbert Nemesapati, 10 rounds, Super Middleweights

Dirrell scored a sixth-round TKO victory against Nemesapati. Dirrell completely dominated the fight and encounter very little resistance from the much younger Nemesapati.

Miguel Cruz vs. Alex Martin, 8 or 10 rounds, Welterweights

Cruz scored a split-decision victory against Martin.

Juan Carlos Payano vs. Isao Gonzalo Carranza, 8 or 10 rounds, Bantamweights

Payano scored a TKO victory at 1:16 of Round 7. Though he had a significant reach and height disadvantage, Payano made easy work of Carranza.

Robert Daniels Jr. vs. Antonio Alicea, 4 rounds, Light Heavyweights

Daniels scored a first-round KO against Alicea.
