Marcus Browne spent the first two rounds feeling out his opponent, Lamont Williams. Williams took some good shots from Browne and spent most of the fight holding on.

Browne seemed upset that every time Williams held on, he would dig his head into Browne’s chin. In the end, Browne did more work, landing the bigger pinches and won by unanimous decision.

Official scores were Julie Lederman 79-72, Tony Paollilo 79-72, and Tom Schreck 76-76.

After the fight, Browne had this to say:

It was a good learning experience, I went eight rounds for the first time. It’s ok I didn’t knock him out, you can’t knock everybody out, it was definitely dirtier than my other fights, my opponent kept using his head. Back to the gym, back to work, go another eight rounds and come out stronger next time.
