Boston MA – Murphys Boxing announces the signing of former world ranked and undefeated Lightweight sensation Logan McGuinness to a promotional contract. Logan (20-0-1 9KO’s) of Ontario Canada, is the first ever 3 division NABA Champion. Having first won the Lightweight NABA Championship in a hard fought 10 round decision over former Mexican Pacific Coast title holder Daniel Ruiz on June 24th 2011. Logan followed this up 4 months later on October 22nd 2011 winning the NABA Super Featherweight title, in a classic brawl, winning by an 11th round TKO after trailing on all 3 judges scorecards.

Logan would add the NABA Featherweight title on September 24th 2013 with a 12 round unanimous decision over veteran Sergio Carlos Santillan. Logan [age 27] was one of the busier fighters in the sport in his first 5 years, compiling a 19-0-1 record in his first 20 fights. Logan landed in the top 10 in the world in the WBA Lightweight rankings and looked to be on his way to winning a world championship. Unfortunately an ankle injury and a fallout with his past promoter has left Logan inactive for the past 15 months. Now injury free and with a new promoter in Murphys Boxing, Logan looks to pick right up where he left off. A win in his next fight, likely landing him back into the top 10 of the Lightweight world rankings, 2015 is poised to be a big year for Logan.

With the new signing of Logan, Murphys Boxing is excited for what lies ahead and sees Logan reaching his full potential. “We are thrilled to have signed Logan McGuinness. He is always an entertaining fighter and we see some very exciting fights to be made in this Jr. Lightweight division” said Ken Casey of Murphys Boxing. “We see Logan winning a Lightweight World Championship and it all starts on March 28th in Ontario,” added Casey.

For his part Logan is just as thrilled to now be under the Murphys Boxing umbrella. “Murphys Boxing works very hard for their fighters. They are very hands on. That’s what I like, they do the work out there, the groundwork for me,” said Logan.

Logan makes his Murphys Boxing debut on the co promoted card with United Boxing Promotions on March 28th at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga Ontario. Logan will be the main event in a 10 round bout against the tough Luis Armando Juarez from Argentina.

The Hershey Centre in Mississauga Ontario is located at 5500 Rose Cherry Pl., in Mississauga, Ontario just outside Toronto.
