On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, the super fight (or fraud–depends how you look at it) was officially announced between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor.
Nate Diaz, the man who handed McGregor his lone loss in the UFC, gave his two cents on the fight via Instagram.
“It’s gonna be a good fight for that No. 2 spot,” said Diaz about the fight.
McGregor did avenge his only loss to Diaz via a majority decision win at UFC 202, but Diaz–and many fans–still feels there is unfinished business.
According to UFC boss, Dana White, McGregor has indicated that he would like to fight once more this year after he faces Mayweather on August 26.
