In the main event of penultimate episode of Friday Night Fights, Reynaldo Ojeda (17-0, 9 KOs) outboxed Monty Meza Clay (36-5, 22 KOs) en route to a 10-round unanimous decision win at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut.

Ojeda, 26, spent most of the fight on the outside, where he landed jabs and right hands on the much shorter Clay.

Clay, 34, was coming off a 10-round loss to Rod Salka, and had lots of trouble to night cutting off the ring.

Instead of using the double jab and working the body as he moved closer to Ojeda, Clay stepped forward headfirst and chased Ojeda around the round.

In Round 5, Ojeda briefly stood his ground to land power punches to the body of Clay, but returned to his boxing gameplan the following round until, in Round 10, Clay was a bit more effective and landed the better shots.

Nevertheless, Ojeda, a native of Puerto Rico, won with scores of 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92.

Also on the card was Luis Rosa (19-0, 10 KOs), who scored a fifth-round TKO victory over Jonathan Perez (9-1, 6 KOs) in a Featherweight fight.

Ivan Golub (8-0, 6 KOs) also scored a fifth-round TKO victory as he stopped Henry Heckford (2-2, 1 KO) in a Super Middleweight fight.
