Jorge Paez Jr. (38-5-2, 23 KOs) knocked out Roland Montes (17-2, 14 KOs) with a powerful shot to the liver in Round 4 of a Welterweight clash at the Auditorio Municipal in Chiapas, Mexico.

The scheduled 10-rounder headlined a Zanfer Promotions card that was televised by UniMas in the U.S.

Paez was knocked down early with a thunderous overhand right in Round 3, but the son of former Featherweight champion Jorge Paez Sr. would recover enough to pressure Montes in Round 4.

The pressure culminated in a fight-finishing shot to the body.
