According to The Guardian, Amir Khan was arrested on July 4, 2014 after allegedly attacking two teenagers in a street assault in his hometown of Bolton.

According to The Guardian, Amir Khan was arrested on July 4, 2014 after allegedly attacking two teenagers in a street assault in his hometown of Bolton.

The two teenagers were apparently returning from a mosque when Khan attacked them.

A spokesperson for the boxer released the following statement regarding the arrest:

“Amir Khan was arrested on suspicion of common assault in the early hours of Friday 4 July. Amir has since been released without charge on bail pending further inquiries. At the stage we are unable to comment further on this matter.”
