Benavidez took his opponent out in the first round, capping off a successful homecoming and return to the ring.
In the co-main event, Oscar Valdez (12-0, 11 KOs) was extended the full eight rounds for the first time in his career by tough opponent, Juan Ruiz (23-13, 7 KOs)
