Linares becomes the youngest Venezuelan to win world titles in three divisions.
Also at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan, Pedro Guevara (24-1-1, 16 KOS) of Mexico defeated former world champion, Akira Yaegashi (20-5, 10 KOs), by seventh-round knockout.
