On Thursday, April 30, 2015, Rafael Gramajo scored a first-round knockout at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.
The scheduled four-round Super Bantamweight fight was on the undercard of the Super Lightweight fight between Mercito Gesta and Carlos Molina.
Gramajo 26, scored his second successful win after moving to Los Angeles, California to train with the Saucedo Brothers at the Westside Boxing Club.
Gramajo began his career three years ago after an extensive amateur career, but after problems with managers and promoters, Gramajo put his career on hold for a few years.
This past Thursday, however, after traveling from Garden City, Kansas and giving a second shot at a pro career under the tutelage of the Saucedo Brothers, Gramajo ran through Cosme in the very first round.
Within the first few seconds, it became very clear that Gramajo’s right hands were too powerful for Cosme, who quickly retreated to the ropes as punches to the body and head put him down and out.
“Non-stop boxing,” says Gramajo about his second chance at a career, and plans to stay very active this year.
