On Friday, February 19, 2016, fan-favorite Diego De La Hoya (13-0, 7 KOs) headlines his first card in 2016 against Arturo “Fuerte” Badillo (21-9, 19 KOs) in a featherweight bout, from The Belasco Theater and live on Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV.

Super featherweight Carlos “The Solution” Morales (12-1-3, 6 KOs) takes on Omar “Héroe” Tienda (14-2, 8 KOs) in a 10 round bout as the television co-main event.

Also on the card will be Nick Arce and Oscar Duarte. The Estrella TV Boxeo Estelar broadcast will air live on Friday, February 19 at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT., and will stream live simultaneously on estrellaTV.com and on YouTube via Fenomeno Studios: youtube.com/FenomenoStudios.

The Ring TV live stream will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. PT through 7:00 p.m.

RESULTS:

Diego De La Hoya vs. Arturo Badillo

De La Hoya scored a fourth-round knockout against Arturo Badillo. After boxing for most of the fight and landing hard shots, De La Hoya landed a body shot that ended matters in Round 4.

Carlos Morales vs. Omar Tienda

Morales scored a unanimous decision victory against Tienda.

The judges score the fight 100-90, 100-90, and 99-91 for Morales.

Nicolas Arce vs. Luis Ruiz Lizarraga Jr.

Arce scored a six-round unanimous decision victory against Lizarraga. Arce won with scores of 60-54, 59-55 and 59-55.

Francisco Esparza vs. Antonio Martinez

Esparza scored a four-round unanimous decision victory against Martinez.

“I’m feeling great now that I’ve got another big win. My strategy is all in staying low so opponent can’t catch me. I’ll be back in the gym ASAP working hard and hopefully moving on up on six-rounders,” said Esparza, who is trained by two-time world champion Fernando Vargas.

Oscar Duarte vs. Archie Weah

In his professional debut, Duarte scored a four-round unanimous decision victory against Weah.

“It felt great to knock down my opponent in the first round but I felt really tied up. My strategy for the rest of the fight was to keep going in there strong and keep my composure,” said Duarte.

“I’m looking forward to training really hard and improving after this win,” said Duarte.
