On Friday, February 3, 2017, Joshua Franco (8-0, 4 KOs) took on Victor Pasillas (8-6-2, 5 KOs) in a scheduled eight-round Super Flyweight fight on the latest edition of Golden Boy Boxing‘s LA Fight Club at the Belasco Theater in Downtown, Los Angeles.
The fight headlined a three-fight telecast on Estrella TV.
Also on the card were up-and-coming prospects David Mijares, Ryan Garcia and Jonathan Navarro.

Joshua Franco vs. Victor Pasillas, 8 rounds, Junior Bantamweights
Franco easily outboxed Pasillas before stopping him in Round 3.
Jonathan Navarro vs. Angel Rodriguez, 6 rounds, Junior Welterweights
Navarro scored a six-round unanimous decision victory in what was a tough fight. Navarro won with scores of 60-54, 60-54 and 59-55.
Ryan Garcia vs. Devon Jonez, 6 rounds, Lightweights
Garcia defeated Jonez via second-round TKO victory. Garcia scored two knockdowns in both Round 1 and 2, the final of which forced the stoppage.
David Mijares vs. Evincii Dixon, 6 rounds, Junior Welterweights
Mijares scored a six-round unanimous decision victory. Though Mijares had Dixon against the ropes for most the fight, Mijares encountered some trouble in the final two rounds and was almost dropped in Round 6.
Nevertheless, Mijares won with scores of 68-54, 68-54, and 58-56.
Hector Tanajara Jr. vs. Baltazar Ramirez, 6 rounds, Lightweights
This fight was cancelled, for Ramirez was unable to make weight.
