On Friday, April 1, 2016, Manuel Avila (19-0, 8 KOs) will take on Rene Alvarado (23-6, 16 KOs) in a 10-round Featherweight fight at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, California.
The fight will headline the latest edition of Golden Boy Promotions’ LA Fight Club, which will be live streamed in its entirety via RingTVLive.com, while Estrella TV will present a three-fight telecast in Spanish.
In the co-main event, Gilberto Gonzalez will take on Luis Arceo in an eight-round Junior Welterweight fight.

Avila outboxed Alvarado in every round, using jabs, footwork and lots of head movement to continually prevent Alvarado from mounting any significant offense.
Avila won with scores of 100-90, 97-93, and 97-93.

After five rounds of competitive action, Gonzalez scored a sixth-round TKO victory against Arceo.

He was tough and he was slick–and that’s what allowed Taylor to walk away with an upset split decision victory against Torres.
Taylor won with two scores of 58-56, while one judge scored it 59-55 for Torres.

Valerio was dominant in a first-round knockout of Javier Rodriguez.

In what was a very tough fight, Rubio edged a close four-round split-decision victory against Benavidez.
