On Saturday, January 30, 2016, Sergey Kovalev (28-0-1, 25 KOs) will take on Jean Pascal (30-3-1, 17 KOs) in a rematch to defend his IBF, WBO and WBA titles at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada.
The scheduled 12-round fight will headline a night of action on HBO Championship Boxing.
In their first fight, Kovalev, a 32-year-old native of Russia, dominantly stopped Pascal for the first time in his career in the eighth round.
Although Pascal had his moments in which he managed to hit Kovalev and make him take a step back, it was clear that the Krusher had too much power for Pascal to handle.
After a comeback win against Yunieski Gonzalez, Pascal, a 33-year-old native of Haiti, claims that his second chance at Kovalev will lead to a victory. However, as it has been less than a year since their first fight, one can only imagine how much he has changed or improved, so the burden of proof will be on Pascal this Saturday.
What do you think happens in their second fight? Let us know in the comments section below.
