Today, April 6, 2017, marks the 30th anniversary of one of the most significant and controversial fights of all time.
On April 6, 1987, Marvelous Marvin Hagler defended his WBC Middleweight championship against Sugar Ray Leonard at the outdoor Arena in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
We all know what happened from there.
Leonard “won” a split decision (118-110, 115-113 and 113-115) that is still hotly disputed today.
