Roman Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KOs) scored a unanimous decision win over Orlando Salido (42-13-2, 29 KOs) to capture the WBO Super Featherweight title at the Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The 12-round fight headlined a pay-per-view event that was promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Puerto Rico Best Boxing.

Martinez, 32, got an early lead with two knockdowns and controlled the action for most of the fight with a powerful right hand and a proper use of distance.

Salido, 34, of Sonora, Mexico, looked to land body shots on the taller Martinez, but was instead deducted a point in Round 11 for a low blow.

Martinez, a Puerto Rican native, won with scores of 111-114, 110-115 and 109-116.
