On Saturday, October 21, 2017 from Verona, NY, Ruben Villa (9-0, 4 KOs) took on veteran German Meraz (58-45-1, 35 KOs) in a Super Featherweight bout scheduled for six rounds.
The bout took place on the undercard of the HBO Boxing After Dark tripleheader headlined by Jezreel Corrales and Alberto Machado.
Villa remained unbeaten, scoring a unanimous-decision win over Meraz.
