The gritty veteran Orlando “Siri” Salido (44-13-4, 31 KOs) will face tough opposition in Miguel “Mickey” Roman (57-12, 44 KOs) at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada Saturday night, December 9, 2017, live on HBO.

Salido is known to make just about every fight a war, but with Roman in particular, this fight has the makings to be very similar in brutality to Salido vs. Francisco Vargas–an all-Mexican war that ended being the Fight of the Year.

Orlando Salido is facing the end of his career, but Salido’s legacy will live on for decades. Though his record is far from glamorous, Salido will always be remembered as a true warrior.

At the age of 37, Salido is still a top contender and fighting first class fighters in the Super Featherweight division, which says a lot about the kind of fighter he is.

A native of Chihuahua Mexico, Miguel Roman is a hard-hitter and a rugged scrapper. Though Roman’s record isn’t stellar, he is still young at the age of 31, with nearly 70 professional fights and is 19-1, 16 KOs  in his last 20 fights–losing only to Takashi Miura in a brutal war.

Between these two main event fighters, they have a total of 101 wins combined and 25 pro losses. But forget their records, this fight has all the makings for a terrific slugfest.

Salido, in all reality is probably on a different level than Roman–yet, anything can happen when the bell rings.

Both fighters always leave it all in the ring. Saturday night, December 9 on HBO, Salido vs. Roman will go toe-to-toe in what is expected to be a ruthless clash. This is a matchup you won’t want to miss.
