On Saturday, September 10, 2016, Gennady Golovkin will defend his Middleweight titles against IBF Welterweight champion, Kell Brook.
Many folks thought that an announcement was imminent regarding a fight between Golovkin and fellow Middleweight Chris Eubank Jr.
Tom Loeffler says when Eubank got cold feet, promoter Eddie Hearn offered the same deal to Kell Brook and he accepted. Regular HBO fight.

Many people seem to be giving Brook credit for having the cojones to step and fight the most feared man in boxing.
But, one must wonder what Golovkin can gain from fighting a smaller man, especially given the fact that he criticized Canelo vs. Khan.

To be fair, Golovkin-Brook will air live on HBO, not HBO PPV. At least they’re not trying to jack people for 60 or 70 bucks for this

This is the ultimate no-win situation for Golovkin. Imo, they need to start forcing the WBA’s hand now in regards to Jacobs #boxing
