Carl Frampton vs. Kiko Martinez II
Lou Catalano, Staff Writer
Kiko Martinez has been rolling lately, but Carl Frampton already waxed him early last year.
Martinez is a tough dude, but he is a bit one-dimensional, and Frampton is nasty. He’s able to fight inside or outside pretty well.
He walked Martinez into a brutal right hand last time out, and I’m betting he catches him again. Frampton takes this one.
Prediction: Frampton

Kiko Martinez is looking for redemption against the undefeated Carl Frampton. Frampton sent Martinez packing with a KO in Round 9 last year and with the rematch being held in his hometown of Belfast, he’ll have a great chance to do it again.
Martinez has not lost since being stopped by Frampton, even scoring a surprise victory against Jonatan Romero to win the IBF title. If Martinez is willing to go into the lion’s den for redemption against Frampton, it tells me he is pretty ballsy.
Kiko will need to get Frampton’s attention early on and try to take the crowd out of it. It’s a difficult task but I think Martinez is up for the challenge and I think he survives Belfast–and perhaps a knockdown–to leave with his title and a victory.
Prediction: Martinez
