This one should be an all action shoot out and may quite simply boil down to pure punching power.

Lemieux definitely gets the nod there, I like Lemieux.

I like David Lemieux in this fight. He dashes inside with crisp short punches that do massive damage to his opponent. He’s a knockout artist that has been on the cusp of a breakout moment. There are still questions about his chin after his upset loss to Marco Antonio Rubio. However Lemieux has been on the upswing the past three years winning all eight of his fights but one during that span, by knockout. I look for him to continue the winning streak with this fight, too.

Last time I remember seeing Hassan N’Dam was in the fight with Peter Quillin, where he showed big heart getting off the canvas six times to drop a decision to him. Though N’Dam has been positioned as a gatekeeper in this fight for Lemieux, I think he’s better than the chances he’s been getting. He’s skilled enough to be avoided, but not popular enough to take the risk. Not in the same manner as Golovkin, but on a lesser scale.

Sadly I think N’Dam becomes a journeyman and loses this fight because it feels like he’s never going to give him the big break he’s looking for.

Prediction: Lemieux

Hassan N’Dam is a good solid fighter, but David Lemieux is a murderous puncher about to break into the big time.

Expect the Canadian to make a statement, winning the IBF strap with a highlight reel stoppage making him a tantalizing opponent for GGG in a unification match.

David Lemieux put on quite a show back in December 2014, scoring a 10th-round TKO victory against the always game Gabriel Rosado.

Sure, it was an exciting fight, but it wasn’t the kind of win he needed to position himself alongside the top guns of the middleweight division. To keep the train rolling he will need to stay on top of Hassan N’Dam, close the distance and rattle his cage as often as possible.

N’Dam also looked good in his win over Curtis Stevens, dropping him in the eighth round en-route to a unanimous victory.

Still, this is a tough one to call as both guys have been dealt humbling defeats and they have yet to score a win over grade A opposition. N’Dam by decision.

Prediction: N’Dam

Lou Catalano, Senior Writer

David Lemieux and his hair will be looking to put on a violent display of power while Hassan N’Dam will attempt to box circles around the Canadian scrapper.

I think he does it, at least for a few rounds. But Lemieux just hits too damn hard and he’ll catch N’Dam sooner than later. Lemieux by KO.

Prediction: Lemieux

I’m really looking forward to this boxer vs. brawler matchup. If David Lemieux can put Hassan N’Dam away in impressive fashion he’d easily be the second most feared man in the division–sorry Miguel Cotto, you’re not No. 1.

I think Hassan N’Dam might find some early success boxing and moving against Lemieux, but I think the Canadian will drop the hammer and end things before the final bell.

Prediction: Lemieux
