On Saturday, September 13, 2014, Floyd Mayweather steps into the ring to face Marcos Maidana for the second time this year.
The 12-round world championship bout for Mayweather’s WBA Welterweight Belt and WBC Welterweight Belt takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and is promoted by Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona Extra, O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Not only are people looking to witness another action-packed bout, but with a lackluster undercard, Mayhem’s main event has a lot to live up to.
Maidana looks to capitalize on the the early success he had in the first bout and hand the reigning pound-for-pound king his first professional loss, while Mayweather looks to close the chapter on Maidana, keep his undefeated record and coast into 2015 staring at the final two opponents of his illustrious career.
Read on for Round By Round Boxing‘s staff predictions (with some specials guests!) for Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Marcos Maidana 2.
