I recapped Ivan “I May Or May Not Have Bodies Under My Floorboards” Redkach’s last fight, which was a hideous shit show. Yakubu Amidu should be much more willing to engage than Sergey Gulyakevich was.
He apparently thought it was samba night when he met Redkach in June. “El Terrible” will probably be able to put on a better performance this time around, and I expect him to deliver a knockout.
Prediction: Redkach

This has all the ingredients to be an explosive, entertaining fight. Ivan Redkach, the “hot prospect,” is a southpaw who loves to attack his opponents to the body. He is an aggressive puncher who comes right after his opponent.
Amidu is 1-3-1 in his last five fights. I look for Amidu to come ready and try to debunk the talk that he is tonight’s “stepping stone” for Redkach. He will hang in the pocket and bring his best, but I look for Redkach to break him down and win via stoppage.
Prediction: Redkach

Ivan Redkach has been a hot prospect for some time, wowing many spectators with his power. But in two recent televised fights, he’s had to grind out ugly victories and hasn’t been able to show off much of his trademark power.
Redkach is undoubtedly a brawler, but I’d like to see him pace himself and setup the knockout instead of just jumping on Yakubu Amidu from the start and winging homerun punches in hopes of landing the big shot.
At the end of the day I think Redkach is too talented to lose to Amidu, but he needs to improve in certain areas. I think Redkach breaks Amidu down late in this fight and stops him.
Prediction: Redkach
