Earlier today, Lucas Matthysse’s team announced via Facebook that a bout between the hard-hitting Argentine and Adrien “The Problem” Broner is all but set for September 13, 2014.
September 13 also marks the return of Floyd Mayweather, who will reportedly be back against Marcos “Chino” Maidana in a rematch many fans called for after their close fight this past May.
According to the Matthysse Facebook page, the only thing needed are signatures from each man. For boxing heads doubting the validity of this report, this same Facebook page correctly announced Danny Garcia vs. Matthysse weeks before it hit the mainstream media in the United States.
If the reports are true and this bout does go down, you have to like Broner’s toughness and willingness to face one of the hardest punching fighters at 140 pounds.
