Tony Nasa is a huge boxing fan and an accomplished artist to boot. His motto is simple–“you name it, I’ll paint it.”
Behind the Gloves’ Stacia Suttles interviewed Nasa at the Danny Garcia vs. Keith Thurman press conference earlier this week where Nasa revealed his original painting of the two fighters.
The Brooklyn native is excited to have his artwork displayed ahead of the huge Welterweight unification bout between Garcia and Thurman which will air live on Showtime Championship Boxing on CBS, presented by Premier Boxing Champions.
“I am truly honored to have my artwork displayed on a such a huge scale with the best in boxing on Showtime for what looks to be the fight of the year,” said Nasa.
Nasa’s paintings are quickly becoming synonymous with big-time boxing matched as he revealed a similar top-notch piece of artwork before the Thurman vs. Shawn Porter bout.
Nasa gives his paintings to the winner of a given fight, so Thurman is looking to collect his second piece in a row.
The Garcia vs. Thurman artwork was also recently featured in a Showtime Boxing promo video.
