After his win against Artur Szpilka on January 16, 2016, Deontay Wilder expected to enjoy his victory in piece in front of over 12,000 boxing fans at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Instead, as he was being interviewed by Showtime’s Jim Gray, Wilder was asked about the newly-crowned lineal Heavyweight champion as the latter walked into the ring and stood in front of Wilder’s face.

“We all know Fury is just a phony. This is just an act. I’m not scared of anybody,” said Wilder, before Fury grabbed the microphone to say a few words of his own.

“Any time, any place anywhere. I’ll fight you in your back yard after I beat (Wladimir) Klitschko again,” said Fury, before calling Wilder a bum.

Wilder responded to Fury as the latter returned the microphone.

“We’ll come to your backyard. This is just an act–you’re not a real fighter. I don’t play. This isn’t wrestling. This isn’t the WWE. When you do step in that ring with me, I promise you I will baptize you,” said Wilder.

“I would love to fight him next, unfortunately. I have other mandatories due. Make the date Tyson, I promise you,” said Wilder.
