Unbeaten Super Welterweight prospect Charles Conwell – a Team USA member who competed in Rio’s 2016 Summer Olympics  – heads down from northeast Ohio Saturday night to face Manny Woods in the 8-round main event of a Team Tory and Iron Tiger Championship Boxing card at EXPRESS LIVE! in Columbus.

After fighting six times in 2017, this fight allows Conwell (8-0, 6 KOs) to cap off 2018 with his third fight. Veteran Woods (16-7-1, 6 KOs), a Saint Petersburg, Florida native, will be Conwell’s third consecutive opponent with 20-plus fights on his résumé.

Conwell defeated hometown fighter, 38-year-old Travis Scott (19-4, 5 KOs), in a punishing second-round technical knockout performance at New Orleans’ Lakefront Arena back in July. The fight was on the undercard of fellow DiBella Entertainment stablemate Regis Prograis’ homecoming event, where the top-ranked Super Lightweight won the vacant WBC Diamond title with an eighth round stoppage of Juan Jose Velasco.

Also scheduled to join the 21-year-old Conwell in action are Cleveland-based Super Middleweight Isaiah Steen (11-0, 9 KOs) and Flint, Michigan Middleweight Ardreal Holmes (7-0, 4 KOs). As many as nine total fight are scheduled, but the participants are subject to change, as some bouts are pending approval. Both Conwell and Steen are part of the growing roster of talent represented by Split T Management.

EXPRESS LIVE!, formerly PromoWest Pavillion, is located at 405 Neil Ave, Columbus, OH 43215 in the Arena District. The fights start at 6:30 p.m., tickets range from $35-$70 and can be purchased at www1.ticketmaster.com.
