Video | Erkan Teper Delivers Huge Blow to David Price and His Career

Friday, July 17, 2015 was supposed to be David Price’s (19-3, 16 KO) first major step back towards the top of the heavyweight contender list.

Unfortunately for him, his chin–and Erkan Teper (15-0, 10 KO)–had other plans.

Price traveled to Germany to fight Teper for the vacant European Heavyweight title and was blasted in two rounds, exposing his most troubling flaw–a suspect chin.

A former bronze medal Olympian, Price suffers the third loss of his up-and-down career, having previously been stopped in back-to-back fights by veteran Tony Thompson.

After losing to Thompson for the second time in July of 2013, Price had been moved along slowly, scoring four consecutive victories over less-than-stellar opposition, winning three of those bouts by knockout.

In the lead up to the fight with Teper, Price spoke about bigger fights in the future against the likes of Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury, two bouts that seem ridiculously out of reach at this point in time.

The 32-year-old Merseyside native has a lot of soul searching to do and must decide if it’s worth trying to salvage his career at this point.

Should David Price continue to fight or just retire?
