According to the New Zealand Herald, thousands of anti-government protesters are battling the police in the streets of Ukraine.
Vitali Klitschko–who is the leader of the opposition–did his best to persuade the large crowd to disperse, but when he failed, he was sprayed by a fire extinguisher.

According to Klitschko, the situation he is involved in seems dangerous and certainly unpredictable.
A scenario of force can be unpredictable and I don’t rule out the possibility of a civil war. … And here we are using all possibilities in order to prevent bloodshed.
