On July 11, Mauricio Herrera (21-5, 7 KOs) returns to the ring against Henry Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KOs) in a 10-round Super Lightweight fight at the LA Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.
Herrera will look to bounce back from a controversial split-decision loss to Joseph Benavidez, while Lundy will look to bounce back from his loss against Thomas Dulorme.
The fight headlines an HBO Latino card that begins at 11:00pm ET and which will be opened up by a 10-round fight between Michael Perez (22-1-2, 10 KOs) and Sharif Bogere ((27-1, 19 KOs).
If he is successful against Henry Lundy on July 11, Herrera will look to fight a big name in the 140-pound division.
In an interview with RBRBoxing.com, Herrera said he wanted three people–a former titlist, a current, titlist and a future one.
Let’s take a look at these three possible opponents.
