Herrera on Possible Fight with Crawford: “Omaha? Let’s Do It!”’

In a recent interview with RBRBoxing.com, Mauricio Herrera mentioned three opponents he’d like to face if he is successful against Henry Lundy on July 11. Let’s take a brief look at all three.

Lamont Peterson

Despite losing to Danny Garcia in a catchweight fight earlier this year, Lamont Peterson is still considered as one of the best 140-pounders.

Peterson took the majority-decision loss, but it was more caused by his excessive movement than his boxing talent.

Peterson easily won several rounds when he stood his ground enough to land punches, but in other rounds he pretty muched danced around the ring.

It must be noted, however, that Peterson no longer holds a world title as he was stripped of his IBF strap for losing to Garcia. Furthermore, Peterson is aligned with Al Haymon‘s Premier Boxing Champions, and a fight between fighters of the two parties seems impossible at the moment.
