Lastly, but definitely not the least of the division is Terence Crawford, who literally blasted onto the scene with a sixth-round stoppage of Thomas Dulorme in April.
Herrera admitted that he his perhaps the most dangerous one in the division, and that many would not want to fight him.
Nevertheless, Herrera said, “Omaha? Let’s do it!”
As of now, Top Rank, Crawford’s promoter, and Golden Boy are on friendlier terms than a few years ago. A fight between the two, especially if Crawford continues to look dominant at 140, is definitely a possible fight in the future.
Crawford will likely fight later on this fall, so we’ll have to see how his run in the 140-pound division goes.
What matchups do you want to see in the 140-pound division?
Herrera, Matthysse, Crawford and Postol could all be in good matchups in the division to determine supremacy, while Garcia and Peterson move up to 147.
