Daniel Jacobs vs. Jarrod Fletcher

It speaks to the overall impotence of this card that the opening bout will probably be the most fun to watch.

Daniel Jacobs, whose fight against cancer has been well documented, has been destroying everything in his path on his way back up the middleweight ladder.

He will nudge himself closer to a big fight with an impressive win here, which he should get against the Australian, Jarrod Fletcher.

I expect Jacobs to come out banging, on his way to a knockout win.

Prediction: Jacobs

Brandon Glass, Contributing Writer

Danny Jacobs will win this fight by knockout against the Australian, Jarrod Fletcher. Jacobs is the is bigger guy and has more experience than Fletcher.

Really, I still have Jacobs’ brutal KO of Giovanni Lorenzo etched in my mind. I am hoping he gets a shot at Peter Quillin, Felix Sturm, or even Gennady Golovkin.

Prediction: Jacobs

Alex Burgos, Editor-in-Chief

Daniel Jacobs is the one young Middleweight contender who is willing and anxious to take on the best. Against the Australian Jarrod Fletcher, he’s merely facing a roadblock.

If Jacobs wins, he’ll capture Gennady Golovkin’s “regular” WBA title. If Jacobs scores an impressive KO over Fletcher, he may be next in line for GGG.

There aren’t too many Middleweights who are willing to take on Golovkin, but I’m confident that Jacobs will push for a bout against the most feared man in his division if he wins on Saturday night–which I think he will.

Prediction: Jacobs
