As much as team Garcia is trying to pump Rod Salka up as a worthy challenger, nobody’s buying it.

Salka might actually make a good showing of himself, but that doesn’t change the fact that this fight had no business being made.

As I stated in a previous article, if Danny Garcia has actually trained, he will win this fight easily. For all the heat he has taken for accepting this fight, he could really use a knockout. I think he’ll get it.

Prediction: Garcia

I have Danny Garcia winning.

I have to go with Danny Garcia here. He has faced and beaten some of the top guys at 140 and unfortunately, Rod Salka is about as obscure as they come.

Salka shouldn’t be taken lightly, only because he is basically Chuck Wepner/Rocky Balboa–or the quintessential underdog.

Even though this fight is not for any of Garcia’s titles, Salka must have Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” on repeat in preparation.

He may even use it for the ring walk.

Garcia will take this opportunity to make an impressive and dominant showing after his less than stellar defense against Mauricio Herrera. I think Danny is going to get that left hook going and stop Salka by the eighth round.

Prediction: Garcia

Vincent Nolasco, Contributing Writer

Danny Garcia should defeat Rod Salka on Saturday night. Garcia will is the better fighter and he should win easily. He has to defeat Salka in a dominating fashion to convince the boxing community that he did what he was supposed to do.

Garcia will display his speed, power and very good boxing skills. Salka will put a decent challenge up, however at the end of the night Garcia will win be middle-round stoppage.

Prediction: Garcia

Alex Burgos, Editor-in-Chief

What’s there to say here? Danny Garcia is fighting a fighter in Rod Salka who holds a record of 19-3, 3 KOs who outside of his immediate family, nobody knew a few months ago.

If that’s not embarrassing enough, Garcia has actually stated that he doesn’t know why fans are underestimating Salka.

Really, Danny?

If Garcia knows what’s good for him, he’ll be prepared to dispense of Salka quickly and move on to more challenging fights. Hopefully all of the social media cherry bombs subside.

Prediction: Garcia
