Cornelius Bundrage vs. Jermall Charlo

I look for youth to overwhelm experience, particularly behind the jab and a busier fighter. I like Jermall Charlo.

I am not on the Charlo brother bandwagon, I find them both highly overrated. However, Cornelius Bundrage is 42 years old and Jermall Charlo is only 25 years old.
I think if Charlo is able to stay behind his jab and dictate a faster pace he can wear the older Bundrage down. If Charlo can stay patient and just simply box and move he can win this fight, if he chooses to go toe-to-toe with Bundrage he will have more trouble.

Expect Cornelius Bundrage (34-5 19 Kos) v Jermall Charlo (21-0 16 Kos) to be a changing of the guard type of fight. Bundrage is an overachiever who has seen his best days and Charlo a carefully groomed 25 year old fighter on his way up. Forgive my sinicism but I believe the young prospect gives Bundrage a comprehensive beating and falls short of a highlight reel knockout. Charlo wins in a commanding performance via easy 12 round decision.

I didn’t even know “K9” from The Contender (a boxing based reality show) fame was still fighting. He’s held this IBF title held hostage for years. Plus, he’s only fought eight times over the last six years.
Jermall Charlo on the other hand, is coming in to his own and gaining experience and is starting to step up his competition level. It’s seems he’s been focused more on his twin brother, Jermell who has been more active with five more fights.
Lucky for us, Jermall is the bigger puncher. K9 is going to make the fight ugly, but I think Charlo has the skill sets, footwork and jab to rescue the belt from the 42-year-old champ.

It seems like Cornelius “K9” Bundrage has been fighting forever. He’s like that fifth year senior playing basketball at Duke that you hate watching.
Anyway, Jermall Charlo (the better of the Charlo bro’s) has a chance to usher in some youth and get rid of grandfather Bundrage once and for all.
Charlo is quicker, younger and more athletic so he should be favored here. But, a sly old dog like Bundrage could always make things difficult. Still, I’m rolling with Charlo.
